Today is the day for the Cuttlebug Challenge Wednesday Inspiration!!
This time the challenge is embossing on vellum. Here is my take on the challenge:
I decided to make a little treat box and a gift card. Inside I placed a few candies on top of some Easter grass.
If you would like instructions on how I created this box scroll down...
For the bottom of the box you will need a piece of cardstock cut to 8 1/2" X 8 1/2". I chose to use some double sided printed cardstock for this. Next you will score all side at 2 1/5". Then fold on score lines and trim, so that you can fold in and place adhesive to hold your box together.
Next we will create the box top. For this you will need a 6X6" piece of cardstock. Score at 1" on all sides and fold just like the bottom of the box. If you would like a window like mine then you will need a punch or die that you will use to cut out a shape in your box top. I used the spellbinders scalloped circle. Next I embossed some acetate with the birds and swirls folder. Then cut this to a 3 3/4" square to fit inside box top. Fold your sides and adhere to make your lid.
Lastly you want to embellish your box. I chose to trim the top with some ribbon and place a flower and sentiment on the top.
Enclose some treats and you are finished with your box.
Hope you enjoyed the tutorial and that you will come by Cuttlebug Challenge to see the rest of the dt creations.
