Sweets for my Sweet BLOG HOP!

Thanks for stopping by this morning from the Cuttlebug website for the Luv bug weekend.

I have a cute little candy wrapper for you today. So quick and fun to dress up your sweeties favorite candy.

The supplies you will need:
Your candy
a sheet of cardstock
a sheet of pattered paper
Some embellishments of your choice
adhesive

First you will need to determine the size of paper you will need to cover your candy. Measure your candy and cut accordingly.

Next I cut my pattered paper to fit inside the cardstock.

I embellished by cutting hearts out and embossing them with the Cuttlebug Floral fantasy folder. Then inking them with green ink.
I also stamped You're so sweet on cardstock, inked the edges and added some heart brads. Then attached to my wrapper...followed by my embossed hearts.
That is it...you are finished. A quick cute candy for your sweetie!
So now your word for this blog is........................................

Next you will need to visit Meda on her blog for your next word.....Good luck!

Weave it!!

Hello, well I wanted to make a card using Lori's technique of weaving paper. You can see her card here This was really fun...brings back those memories of elementary school art.

Here is my card. I used some paper flower I embossed with my Cuttlebug and inked.
I weaved some pink, striped and flower paper together. I cut out the butterfly shape on my Cuttlebug and then placed my woven paper behind. I drew stitch lines around the butterfly and embellished with pink rhinestones. I also placed a large pink rhinestone in the center of my flower. I placed some lace and a paper strip on the side of the card. I also used some of my woven paper behind my stamped pink paper.

Here is the inside of the card.
Check out here tutorial and give it a try. Have fun with this...I bet you could make a large one and use it on a scrapbook layout....OOOO the ideas. If only I had more time in the day to just create.
Till next time...Happy Craftin'!

Cuttlebug be Inspired # 16

The challenge this Wednesday is to create a distressed card...how fun! This technique is so in right now too.
For my card I decided to use the Cuttlebug embossing folder Birds and swirls. I cut the Tag using the Cuttlebug tag along die. Some printed paper a few flowers from Paper Studio, a black brad embellished with Stickles. I stamped and embossed the bird using a stamp set from Autumn Leaves. The ribbon is from my stash.
Have fun with this technique, the possibilities are really only limited by your imagination....go for it!!

Share some cards...

Good Morning to ya!! Hope you are having a fantastic weekend. I wanted to share a few cards I have created recently. This card I created with the Stampin Up natural beauty set, I embossed behind the bird with my Cuttlebug leafy branch embossing folder added some string and a few square brads.
This card I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities on my Cutllebug and embossed one with the leafy branch Cuttlebug embossing folder. I added a few eyelets to string my ribbon through and then stitched the edges. The stamp is from the natural beauty set again. On this card I embossed the background on my Cuttlebug using the Stylized flowers embossing folder, I stamped the bird using a stamp from Autumn Leaves, added a little ribbon bow and a little bling. I also inked the embossed image to help it show up a little more.

As you can see I have been playing with my Cuttlebug machine a lot....It is just so much fun.

Inchies anyone??

So I signed up for an alphabet inchie swap and this is what I came up with.
There was no limits to what you could do, it just had to be all the same letter...so I went crazy. These are so much fun. If you are kinda worried about working with such a small space let me tell ya...it is great! The small space actually is quite simple to embellish and seems to come together so quick....since you are limited by the space there is really only so much you can do.

I also created a holder for my stickles. I saw this idea on a few other sites and decided to try it for myself....of course I couldn't help but to embellish. I know you can't really see it once all the stickles are on there but it seems to make it a little more stylish. :-)

Well that is what I worked on tonight...Hope everyone is enjoying their New Year so far.
