Under the weather??

Seems like with Back to School comes getting sick.  My boys have been back for a week and a half now and already we have had to battle a small bug.  I stress to my boys to wash those hands..but I know it probably doesn't always get done.  What's a mom to do??  LOL!

I wanted to share a little card I created using a stamp from QKR Stampede. I just LOVE it!  It is called Sneaking away...LOL!

Isn't it the most FUN?!  On the inside I used another stamp from QKR Stampede called Up and Running.

So maybe the next time you know someone that is under the weather you might send them this fun image to perk them right up.

Thanks for stopping by today.  JennK

Stamping for all seasons

Hello crafters!  I am hosting over on QKR Stampede today.  For my project I decided to use the BIRDHOUSE stamp to create a wall hanging for all season.  One stamp for 4 seasons...Yes it can be done *grin*

Here it is (click on image for a larger picture)  I used a picture frame I picked up for a few bucks.  Took all the mat and papers out and got to work.  Each of the 4 images were colored with Copics.  I then cut each image out and added some details to a few of them.

Here is a close-up of the Spring and summer scene.  For the Spring scene I used some flower soft to add some Spring blooms.

And here is a close-up of the Fall and Winter scene.  For the Winter scene I added some glitter on top of liquid applique for snow and some stickles on a few leaves and the birdhouse holes for a frosty effect.  You can see how just changing t he colors you use on the image mixed in with a few elements you can give a very different feel to a stamp.  LOVE THAT!

Here is a detail of the corner spot on the frame.  I used a Prima flower folded in half along with a vintage abalone button tied with some green floss.  The Tomorrow chipboard was in my stash of "use it up".  The little bird is from Stampin' Up and the flourish is K&Co.

Thursday Scrap Time

It is time for some Scrappy Goodness!  Today at The Pink Elephant the challenge is to use a Sketch and a color combo for inspiration.  The colors are YELLOW, GREEN & WHITE.  Here is the Sketch.

And my take of the Challenge this week.........

I am loving this Origins paper by Basic Grey.  I have had it in my stash for a little while and am FINALLY able to use it!  These pictures of my boys I took last fall..I have many more but these were a few of my favorites.  Here are a few close ups...

The chipboard stickers were a great addition to my page.  I layers them and added a little bit of fibers from Adornaments.
These Felt letters stickers from Making Memories fit right in...LOVE IT! I also stitched along the top and bottom.

I would love to say I distressed the edges with my distress tool, BUT it is nowhere to be found.  I looks all over for my little pink gem and it is hiding somewhere completely unknown to me.  Guess that means it is time for a good thorough clean in the craft room.

Thanks for stopping by today, I love to hear your thoughts on my projects.  Be sure to stop by The Pink Elephant too.  I know there is some great inspiration there and we would love for you to join in the FUN!

Hello Wednesday!

Time for another Wild Flower challenge today!!  The challenge this week is all about color.

Two to be exact Black & White.  Easy enough right?

I decided to play with the digi butterfly image...Love it!!
I am not sure of the manufacturer for the background paper (sorry).  The embossed paper is Coordinations cardstock embossed with the Divine Swirls cuttlebug folder.  I mentioned earlier that the YUMMY stamp is a digi from WildFlower Patch "Butterfly".  The lace and ribbon is from a garage sale find...gotta love that!

I colored the image with Copics.  I then added some rhinestones for the antenne, some stickles and I painted on some glimmer mist on the darker grey areas.  It did bleed out a little, boo  :-( ...but the overall effect is still there.

Hope you enjoyed taking a peek at my project today.  I would love to hear what you think, also be sure to take a peek at the rest of the design teams work.  We would love to see what you create with this color challenge.

Happy Craftin'!!  JennK

Recipe challenge

Happy Thursday!  Today it is time for a Recipe challenge at The Pink elephant.  The recipe is to use cardboard, circles and journaling.  I can handle that.  Here is what I came up with.
I really LOVE this line by We R Memory Keepers it is called Geo-Hectic.  I love the muted colors and the fun boy theme.  These pictures are a few candid shots of the boys playing outside last fall.  I like to try and get
un-posed candid shots, especially of them playing.

I would really like to see what you come up with using this recipe.  Link it up on The Pink Elephant for us all to see and while you are there be sure to take a look at the rest of the design teams inspirations this week.

Stormy days and creativity....

It has been storming here over the weekend.  Between power outages and rainy weather I managed to get a layout done for the Fun in the sun Crop over on the Noel Mignon forum.  This crop has been so much fun, even though I don't think I will be able to participate in all the challenges, I did get a ton of inspiration to use.  The challenge I did get done is a "All about me" challenge.  This is what I came up with.
The papers I used are by Bella BLVD.

I had a ton of fun with this page.  It also seemed to take me the longest to complete 3 WHOLE DAYS!!  Sheesh!  Mostly due to power outages and hanging out with the family.  I will take the family time any day :-)

That's all I have today.  I will be back soon with some more fun stuff I have been working on.  Thanks for stopping by, Jennk

It's wild Flower Wednesday!!  Today the theme is embossing.  With so many great embossing techniques out there now you are sure to find one that will work with your project.  The card I created for this theme uses the Poppy in The Window digital stamp.
I recently came across the K&Co paper and just love the blue, green combo.  Also the flowers are so pretty, It fit so perfectly with this lovely image.  I embossed a scrap piece of cardstock to layer into the card.

Be sure to take a peek over at the wild Flower Patch for some more inspiration from the design team and to link up your project for this fun Embossing challenge.
