Smile!

Hello! Well today is the Last day of November! Can you believe it!! It is a downhill slide from here...*giggles*

I want to share a sweet card I created today. I am entering it in the Pink Elephant Challenge. The challenge is to color an image in with your favorite medium. I used my Copics which are my favorite for most things. I also enjoy using chalks and watercolors...even colored pencils on occasion. But today like most I chose my Copics.

This image is from Mo Manning. I just love how fun and festive this little boy is! He is really ready to celebrate. The paper is some left overs from My Minds Eye...The big sparkly dots are so much fun.

I am off now to take the dog for a walk....

Hugs, JennK

Vintage Santa

WOW! I cannot believe we are entering Dec.!! Gosh where did the year go?...Seriously?!!

As I get over the shock or another year gone by, how about I share I card I created. This one is for CPS.

This image I actually used chalk instead of my Copics. I know I was shocked too...*giggles* I felt like the Chalk really gave me the soft look I was going for. I also inked around the edges and the painted on some SHIMMERZ to add a little sparkle. I am very pleased with the end result.

I have some new sassy Holiday stamps on their way to me. I am so excited! I will share when I get them.

Have a great day! JennK

Challenge tonight.....

So I just finished up this card.. The challenge over on The Pink Elephant was to use plaid and any number of brads but NO RIBBON. I thought to myself..easy peasy right? Then while making this card I found it to be so difficult at first not to add ribbon..LOL!! I think it makes it harder when you know you cannot use something...it's like you want to use it more. Like when you know you shouldn't eat that pie...LOL!!

So enough chatter. Here's the card..

I used some left overs from all different paper lines. The yellow plaid is from Pink Paisley, snowflakes is My minds Eye, The solid cardstock is left over DCWV. The snowflake was even made prior with my cricut and some SHIMMERZ.

I like how it turned out, even without any ribbon. *Big Grin*

I also finished this one. I just got this image from Mo Mannings site. I just love this little Holly Fairy. She was fun to color in with my Copics too. You can't see it well but her hair and wings are shimmery. I used My Minds Eye rubons for Believe. I added a few brads and look no ribbon...I think I am getting the hang of this. *smiles*

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Turkey Time!!

Happy Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you have a wonderful celebration of friends and family. I know we will be hanging out. Watching football and eating lots of yummy food. My hubby will be hanging Christmas lights and hopefully we will be headed to the Christmas tree farm soon. Oh the holidays and all the great stuff that comes with it. YUMMY!!

Here is a card I created.....Just great for the Thanksgiving holiday SPIRIT. It also works for a few Challenges going on right now...YAY!!

I used some Unity stamps from the KOM club. I colored in the images with my Copics. The little bee is colored in with Shimmerz. I also added some sparkle to the sunflower and the dots on the leaves. The button is Basic Grey I think...I keep them all in one big jar. I forget who made what button sometimes.

And here is a little place mat my 3 year old made at Preschool this week. So sweet!!

I am off...Enjoy your day. And remember what you are Thankful for today and everyday!!

Coloring

Hello. Today I bring you a card I created for Copic Color Challenge. The colors to use this week were:
I don't have the RV23 Pure Pink so instead I used RV11 Pink.

Here is my card creation..
I used some Unity Stamps (LOVE THEM) and some scraps of Basic Grey paper. The background is embossed with the Victoria Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Fun colors to work with. They kept making me think of Spring already....we have barely touched on winter yet. *giggles*

I am off to finish up a few scrapbook pages and a few other projects.

Happy Crafting!! JennK

Challenge anyone?

I am so happy I have been able to play along on some challenge blogs lately.

This card I created for the CPS blog. They have another great sketch this week to play with!

Here is what I have come up with...

I had fun with this little snowman again. After I colored him in with my Copics I added glitter to the image using some stickles. I also paper pieced his little carrot nose and scarf. The snowflakes were cut using my Cricut and the joys of the Season cartridge. I then sprayed them with glimmer mist.

While I was playing with this Yummy paper from My minds eye I also created a Scrapbook page.

These pictures were from a little snow we got last year. Funny how very little needs to actually stick to the ground for the kidos to have a blast in it! Their own winter wonderland.

I used a lot of SHIMMERZ on these snowflakes and even on my journal spot. I also used some liquid applique with glitter in it for the snow on my title. If I didn't have enough bling I also used some rhinestones on the snowflakes. I am very pleased at all the sparkle.

Okay I am off. Maybe to create some more fun stuff. I really should get started on some Christmas presents soon. It will be here before ya know it!

Thanks for stopping by, JennK

Did ya know??

So I was playing around with my Shimmerz paints and I am finally in the seasonal mood. I decided to try painting on some different things. One thing I wanted to share today is that you can actually STAMP with SHIMMERZ!! Did you already know this? Am I following the cart here?? I have just discovered this and think it is awesome!!

Some things I stamped and then poured embossing powder over it to create an embossed effect with my Shimmerz. Some I just stamped and let dry. Both turned out beautifully I think.

So ya wanna see??

Okay......Here we go

Here is what I used...Stamps, some paint brushes and my SHIMMERZ. Oh and a piece of folded cardstock (my card base). Shimmerz colors I used on my project are Sky blue and Magenta. Stamps are from Close to my Heart.

Next all I did was paint some Shimmerz onto my stamp and then stamp the image onto your cardstock...AWESOME right?!! Look how sparkly that is!! I continued to paint my stamp and stamp the different snowflake images all over my cardstock.

For these snowflakes I wanted an embossed effect. So I poured embossing powder over my stamped snowflakes. The powder stuck beautifully. Next heat with your heat gun. You get a gorgous embossed sparkly image!! So cool!

Here it is all embsossed. I think it is so cool. I went on to stamp smaller snowflakes with a different color Shimmerz paint. These snowflakes I did not emboss. Just let dry.

Here it is all finished.
I really love how it came out. I am going to stamp more with my Shimmerz. The great thing is that is washes right off your stamp too. I just grabbed a baby wipe and it was gone. So easy Peasy. Love that!! So what do ya think?? Are ya gonna try this out for yourself? Let me know what ya think.

Well, that is what I have to share today. Hope your weekend is going well. I am feeling a little better. Especially since I got some crafty time in. YAY!! That always does it for me. I am such an addict..*giggles*

Tuesday???? Already?

Today is sooo COLD!! BRRRR I know we are entering the winter months but, SHEESH I am just not a cold weather kind of gal. I love the change of the seasons. The color of the leaves and a blanket of fresh fallen snow. All these things are beautiful but, I don't really enjoy being out in the frigid temps. I think it is great weather to stay inside and cozy up with a good book or spend the whole day creating.

I have been able to finish a few layouts lately...YAY! One layout is inspired by a challenge over at the Candy Shoppe. This is a new challenge blog I have found recently. I love the edgy style their design team has and the fresh challenges. This week was all TWILIGHT inspired!! Right up my alley! Love that whole series!! Especially the parts about EDWARD!! So I followed the prompt for those of us who choose his side...No competition for me...LOL!!

Here is the layout I came up with....

The rules were to include sparkle....and the colors red and black. OKAY so I have to admit I could have gone a whole lot of directions with this one. I decided to use RED as my main color. There is a little bit of black and the sparkle is in the flourishy/wave decor I cut out of some Bo Bunny paper. And some in the title as well. I really like my take on the challenge.

You should head over to the Candy Shoppe to see what the design team came up with!! All really fantastic!

I am looking forward to the new movie...I bet it will be AWESOME!! If ya love the twilight series like I do go over to the fan site...Lots of cool stuff there to check out. Also on Stephanie Meyers web you can listen to some playlists she created inspired by each book and read what is coming up next.

Gotta go now..Hope your day is warmer than mine...If you like that sort of thing...Hugs, JennK

La-La Land....

Well, I am in La-La-land sometimes and recently I found a blog that is just that. It is so full of great creations and new stamps too! They hold challenges weekly on Wednesdays. I just LOVE the Cow stamps..they are so cute and fun!

This week the challenge was to use your punches. I almost didn't make it...but I finally got a moment to create a card for this.

I call it Be Merry...

Can you believe I found this stamp recently at my local scrapbook store and it was only $3.00!!! I had to get it! So Sw-e-e-t..the deal and the stamp.

So I stamped this clean rubba for this challenge and I colored it in using my Copics. After I was all done with the coloring I spayed the whole image with glimmer mist pearl. I am bummed that it is not showing up in the picture. Partly because we have no sun today...BLAH!! My wee babe also helped with this one...he very proudly placed the bow for me. Great job too!!

for the challenge portion of using a die..I used my Fiskars threading waters punch. I use this punch all the time!! Love it!!

So that is all for now....I did a double post today..Can ya believe it?!!

I will be back soon with some more creations. Hugs, JennK

CPS Sketch

Hello...today I want to share a card I created using the sketch over on CPS. And in case you don't know they are looking for some new designers. Check out their blog for more details.

I had fun with my little snowman again. I colored the image in with my Copics. Distressed with Ranger distress ink in tea dye. The large flourish is a rub on from K&Co. I also added some little glittery tree brads. I picked them up last year in the clearance isle...You just gotta love a good deal!

Today I am hoping for a relaxing day of reflection. Hope your weekend has been good.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Jenn K

Alright onto the challenge....To see the great sketch and play along hop on by the Cuttlebug Challenge blog.

This is the card I will be sending. It is a flat card..one of the requirements and for me was harder than I thought. I kept wanting to add buttons and bling...*giggles*

So Here is the Buttons and bling card too....I actually created this one first, before I knew it had to be flat.

I had a lot of fun stringing these glass beads onto the card. And as you can see lately by my cards...I just LOVE snowmen!! They make me happy...(big grin)

So what is your favorite holiday image? I would love to know...

Hope you have a chance to stop by the Cuttlebug Challenge blog to see the rest of the design teams cards.

What a day...

Wow! What a day we had today. My alarm went off at 7 this morning.....I didn't want to get out off bed yet. Not on a Saturday.....but the day was beginning.

Todays events consisted of 2 football games and a piano recital. In black and white when I read this I think awe that's not too bad. Boy oh boy during the moments...my head was spinning.

So off we went at 10 after 9 to have pictures taken of the football team and warm up for the game. The game started at 10:30 this morning. It was an exciting game. we lost but our boys have heart. They didn't give up. The game was finally over at about 12:20 this afternoon. Not too bad except I had to have Jacob showered and to his piano recital by 12:45...Time was going fast.

We dashed home, Jacob got his shower grabbed a quick bite to eat then we were off to piano. The recital was great. Jacob played well. We mingled a few minutes after the recital then it was off again.

We dashed home again to get Jacob's football gear back on and off to game 2 we went. Lucky for us the games were running a little late so we got there in plenty of time. YAY!

Our boys played hard. They played a good game but we couldn't take em'.

WOW...what a day...what a day. We survived, but I am ready to rest.

I couldn't have asked for better weather for all of this though...FANTASTIC! I cannot believe it is November with weather like this today.

I hope your Saturday was great. I will be back with some Holiday cards I have been working on soon. Plus my Wednesday inspiration with the Cuttlebug Challenge. This week we have a great sketch to work with. Be sure to come back and check it all out.

Thanks for stopping by today,
Jenn K

Cuttlebug Inspiration Wednesday

Hello...hope all is well.

My kids have been sick with sinus and eye infections. They are both on antibiotics now and doing much better. YAY! That makes momma happy.

Well, on to today's inspiration. We are so fortunate to have Teresa Collins and Jamie Harper as our guest designers today! So cool!!

The design team also received some fun Teresa Collins products to play with....Great Fun!!

I decided to create a mini album. I love the way it turned out. I didn't follow the kit instructions to a T but, instead made it my own creation. I love how it all coordinates so well and helps tell your story of gratitude.

Here is my album...

Here I used the Houndstooth Cuttlebug embossing folder on some red cardstock.

Here I used the Journaling Card Cuttlebug embossing folder to create the background for my Title.

I used some metal rings to bind my album. I love all the folders and envelopes this little album has. As well as the theme of being grateful. So wonderful and inspiring on its own.
I created the paperclips to hold the envelopes closed. So easy just take a paperclip of any size. I used the Jumbo size for my project. Then I cut paper of the same size and attached them together over the end of the paperclip. You can also fold a piece of paper over the end of the paperclip and attach. Quick and easy.

I hope you take some time to visit the Cuttlebug Challenge blog. I am sure the rest of the design team will have some great projects to share with you. And don't forget Teresa Collins and Jamie Harper are guest designing for us. They are sure to knock the socks off all of us.

Till next time Happy Craftin' and thanks for stopping by, Jenn K
