The Pink elephant Scraps!

Hello, welcome to another wonderful scrappy day with The Pink Elephant gals!  Thursday is the day for a whole new challenge so hop right in and get craftin'!  This week we are creating our own flowers for embellishments for our projects. I had fun creating mine and there are so many great tutorials out there right now too!!  For my page I used some Basic Grey Mellow paper I had stashed away.
Here is a close up of the flower I made.  It is just like the flower from Yesterdays card only larger.  This is my new fav. flower technique I think...*smiles*

I had a blast creating this page.  The pictures were so fun to capture and pose for.  So staged but, that's ok...right?!  *giggles*

So what are ya waiting for?  I know you have a few tricks to creating your own flower embellishments..If ya need some inspiration first be sure to stop by the Pink Elephant Blog to see the rest of the Design teams creations.  I look forward to seeing your pages!

Woot Woot It's Wednesday!

Guess what that means??  Time for a new challenge at The Wild Flower Patch!  This week is a color challenge.  The colors to use are Pink and Orange...Makes me think of summer and sherbet ice cream!  YUMMY!!

What did I make??  A couple of cards..that's what.  I used a few of the cute fairy stamps.  They colored up so sweet in this color combo.
Take a peek....
 A close up...
I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the background.  I colored the image with Copics and I added ribbon trim and flowers from my stash. This image is Poppy Butterfly fairy.

My next card.  This was a first using this color combo for a skin tone.  What do ya think??  I think I like it!
A close up of this one...
I created my own flower for an embellishment.  I used circles that were embossed and distressed on the edges.  Added a felt circle and a button to top it off.  I colored this image with Copics and used a scrap of Basic Grey Sugar Rush paper.  The image is Crisanta Butterfly Fairy.

I hope you enjoyed my samples today...Let me know what ya think.  I love hearing from you.  Until next time..Have a great week!  Jenn K

On to my cards now...
I have had lots of fun creating with this image.  The paper I used for this card is by Basic Grey it is called June Bug.  I colored the image with my beloved Copics.

Here is a close-up of the coloring.

This is the inside of the card.  Isn't this sentiment the truth!

My next card is this sweet little turtle...

I paper pieced his umbrella and added some 3D crystal lacquer to it for some pop...I had I hard time showing that in my picture though.  The rest of the image I colored with...you guessed it!  Copics :-)

I did some stitching with my sewing machine.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today.  I had a blast creating them.

Ella's Pink Scrapbook

Hello and welcome to another scrap challenge from Ella over at The Pink Elephant!  We all have been so excited to bring these new additions to you and we all hope you are having as much fun as we are.  On with this weeks challenge...it is really simple.  We want to see your Easter/Spring layouts.  Bring on those bunnies, eggs, family gathering, or however you spent the first few days of spring.  For my layout I used some pictures from last years Easter hunt I had not scrapbooked yet.  I used some Basic Grey that I kinda forgot I had...how did that happen?!

Here you can see that I got 4 nice sized photos on my layout.  I used some June Bug papers and embellishments from Basic Grey.  I also used a brad I found of an egg and punched some leaves for behind my journaling.  Overall I am pleased with the layout.

Here is a close-up of some of the embellishments.

And the title area.  I am lovin' that little bee!

I hope you enjoyed my layout for this week.  Now hop on over and see what else the design team has created this week.
Hugs, JennK

Wild Flower Wednesday

Hello and welcome to another fun wildflower Wednesday!  Today is all about punches!  I have to tell ya...I had a punch casualty while making my card.
My poor beloved butterfly punch from fiskars took a hit!  So...I ended up hand cutting my butterfly for this card.  This weeks challenge is to use 3 punched elements and bold colors.

Here is the card I created for this weeks challenge.
I did use three shapes and some bold colors....just one of the shapes ended up being hand cut....opps!

Here is a close-up of the coloring and the little detail on the edge of the card.

And the inside of the card.  I just thought this sentiment was perfect with these papers! As you can see my butterfly is hand cut.  My poor punch just couldn't cut another butterfly...sniffle, sniffle...

I hope you like my sample this week.  Stop by the rest of the design teams blogs for some great inspiration too.  See ya at The Wildflower Patch!, JennK

Copic Journal

Hello and happy Saturday!  I hope you are having a great weekend so far.  The day here is absoulty WONDERFUL!  The weather is WOW!!  I have been working on this awesome mini journal for my Copics.  I stumbled upon this blog that had a whole mini journal download just for your beloved COPICS!  If you would like to make one for yourself take a peek HERE at the Copic Munkies.  This is such a cute and fun blog, so glad I found it!

So, wanna see what my new favorite little book looks like??  Here it is!!
This is the front cover.  I used some chipboard out of a pack of paper.  I covered it with some Super YUMMY paper from Jillibean soup.  Oh how i have hoarded this paper, till I could find just the perfect use for it.  I think I have!

This is the first page in my new favorite book.  To add a little fun to it I colored a border with my COPICS all around the outside of the page. I love the irregularity of it...and the colors coordinate with my papers...YAY!
Next is the first section divider I created.  Where behind it you will find........
This!!  this is the section that shows me all the colors I have and all the colors I still gotta get.....
Here is another page divider.  I had fun decorating it with an image I colored in form Mo Manning.

And another.  All the tabs I made myself using this Yummy paper.

This page has a pocket in it..just in case I need to stash something in my little book.

There ya have it.  My new Copic journal!  I love the compact size..easily goes with me.  maybe you will want to make one too.

Thanks for stopping by, JennK

The Pink Elephant's Scrap

Yes, we are scrappin' away at The Pink Elephant!  I hope you enjoyed the first layout challenge over at The Pink elephant.  This week we reworked a past layout.  You can either add to an existing layout or you can recreate the entire layout.  You pick.  I decided to have another go at a class picture for my sons Kindergarten class.  Seems like so long ago.....Awe he was so little then.  sniffle...sniffle...they grow up so fast...

Okay so enough of that...here is my layout.
Before
And After

Let's hear it for Ella's PINK Scrapbook!!

Hey all you crafty  peeps out there in cyberspace!  Today is the day Ella is bringing a whole new side to play!!  SCRAPBOOKING!!  WOOHOO!!  I am sooo excited to be starting this!  I know you all may think we may be pulling a prank....but I tell ya it is NO Aprils Foolishness here!!  We are SO bringing scrapbooking to the Pink Elephant!  So hop on board with us and play along with some great new challenges happening every Thursday!!  This week to start things off we have an AWESOME prize pack for one lucky person out there who joins in the fun.

Okay I know enough already with the chatter...on with my page.  So here it is........

This week the challenge is to use YOUR Favorite technique.  For me this was a challenge!  There are so many great techniques I LOVE but, I chose Stitching.  I really like the look of a few stitches here and there on a page.  Whether they are real or "falsies"....*giggles*  I used both.  The 2 rows of stitches at the top of my page is real.  I also hand drew on some stitches on the flower embellishment.

So go have FUN and create a page with your FAVORITE technique.  Don't forget to take a quick pic and share it with us too!!

Have fun craftin'!, JennK
