Halloween Update...

Well, this has been a sad day for the kidos. Both are sick with sinus infections and the little one has an added eye infection too...YUCK! I feel bad for the little guys...They did get some candy on Friday on Trick or Treat street here in our town so they are not completely candy less. But, as I am sure you can imagine they are bummed out (mostly the 9yo). So Momma has no pics to share with ya right now. Maybe when they are feeling better I can get them to dress up for me so I can snap some shots...

I hope you all had a safe and fun Halloween.....Enjoy the sugar high!

Hugs, Jenn K

Mojo Monday Sketch

I am just loving the sketch this week. It has been forever since I have had a chance to play along over there and I thought it is about time I get back. Here is this weeks sketch...

And here is the card I created....

I colored my image with Copics. For the texture on the tops of the ice creams I used liquid applique. If you have never used it...do so as soon as you can. It is so much fun to watch as it pops right up as you heat it!

I had fun with this sketch. I know I will be using it again!

Here is the inside of my card. So true....for me at least. *giggle*

Hope you like my take on this weeks sketch.

Have a great day! Jenn K

Wednesday Inspiration

I am back with another Wednesday Inspiration.

Today I bring you some fun sparkle. I used some Tattered angels Glimmer mist on some leaves I found outside! It was really easy to do. Just make sure your leaves are not too dry and brittle.

Here are the leaves I started with.

Lay them out on some scratch paper. Next I sprayed the leaves with the glimmer mist.

If you get too much on the leaves you can blot the excess off with a paper towel. I like mine kinda blotchy in some places.

Next I embossed one of the leaves once the glimmer mist was dry. I used the Argyle Cuttlebug Embossing folder. It gave the leave a fun texture.

And here the card is all assembled. I used some Basic Grey papers. The tag I created from some packaging from the chipboard quote sticker. I love it when I can recycle!! Add some ribbon and a few brads and your card is complete.

Have fun playing with glimmer mist on non tradition things...it's fun!!

The next card I created I used a free digital stamp from Digital Delights. I thought this little ghost was just too cute to pass up.

I colored the image with my Copics and then added some Stickles for the sparkle.

The vellum behind my image is embossed using the Houndstooth Cuttlebug Embossing folder. I am not sure who the Boo paper is...I have had it for so long.....*grins*. The ribbon is American crafts and the buttons are from my stash.

I hope you have time to hop on over to the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog. I am sure there will be so much eye candy there.

Thanks for stopping by today, Hugs...Jenn K

I am in LOVE!!!

Oh my!! I have found a new love!! Yes, I know how can this be?! No it is not a person or animal but, it is in fact a new company I just learned about.

COLLAGE PRESS

Have you heard of em'??

I just learned of this fantastic company.....and I got to tell ya they have my heart! My scrappy heart that is. Thanks to some talented scrappers that introduced me to this company....I don't know how I missed it for so long!

Here is the winter line!! I LOVE it!! Just LOVE it!!

So now I go on the blog and guess what?!! They are having a design team call!!! That would be so awesome!!! I just might have to try out...wish I had some of the papers to play with for my submission though.

I just had to share the news...it's so funny how scrappy things can make my heart flutter!!!

Gotta go play with some scrappy goodness now!

WInter??

Well the vote for Urban Anthologies Got talent contest part 3 will close in a few days. If you have not voted yet you have until Thursday at midnight.

So I don't know about where you live but here in Kansas it has been COLD!! It is like we completely skipped past fall and jumped right into winter. I usually really enjoy fall. The beautiful colors, the cooler air, pumpkin patches. But, so far this fall it has been too cold for me to enjoy. I am hoping for the temp. to warm a little by Sat. for Jacobs football game.

On to other news.......

This week we are having some guest designers creating the Wednesday Inspiration over on the Cuttlebug Challenge. I am sure you won't want to miss the inspiration there.

Seems like a lot of people I know have been or are sick lately. Here is a card I created for a loved one.

I know at our house my son and I both came down with some kind of stomach funk....YUCK! No fun at all! On top of that my hubby had knee surgery last Thursday so we all have seen better days *giggle*!

I hope you and your loved ones have been keeping warm and well.

Until next time, happy craftin'! Jenn K

Happy Fall Ya'll!!

So I awoke this morning to a very Fall day. Wow how the weather seems to change over night. Seems like just last week I was in capris and a t-shirt. Today I am in jeans and a sweatshirt...BRRR. The sun is trying to peek through so maybe before the day is out it will warm up a bit.

So I worked on my challenge 3 over at the Urban Anthology the last few days. This week the challenge was to create an original sketch and the create a layout inspired by that sketch. Also to include one or more of the words...

* Direction

* Nurture

* Strength

* Time

Here is my sketch...

And here is the layout I created...

I used some papers by Bo Bunny..Love them! I hand cut out the flowers and foliage. I love the way this turned out. Simple and clean. Just the way I like it..*giggles* The voting will be begin for Challenge 3 on this Sat. Be sure to pop in and vote on your favorite layout for the week.

Also the voting for Challenge 2 has not closed yet. You still have until Midnight on Oct 7 to vote. Be sure to stop by and vote for your favorite.
