Hello blog!!

So It has once again been eons since my last blog post.  So much has been going on in life right now that to blog has been pretty low on the list of priorities.  Right now I am in the process of moving to a new city.  I forgot how much WORK moving is!  I definitely recommend hiring a moving company if you can.  We did not and I am regretting it a little.  The big move should be over by this weekend though so I am looking forward to that.

When I take a break from packing endless boxes I usually jump on my computer to check e-mails, play around on facebook or hang out on the couch for awhile.  Recently while surfing some blogs I like to peek at I came across the new Serenade collection by Basic Grey!!  Oh BOY!  I think I may be in LOVE!!  I usually love anything Basic Grey to begin with; but add some butterflies and I am over the moon!  Have you seen it?!  It is so girly and pretty!

I know what I am going to be looking forward to getting my hands on SOON!!  I am now off to see what other new gems were introduced at CHA this year.  One day I want to go and see all the pretties up close and personal!

A little something

Hello friends!  I have a little card to share today.  I recently received a few stamps in the mail from sei and decided to play with the set Moravia.  It also gave me a chance to play with my Copics.  Gotta love that!
The polka dot paper is by MME.  There is a little coordinations cardstock I paper crimped and sanded.  I am loving the yellow and turquoise together along with the brown.
Loving these pearl accents too!  I am off to start my workweek.  Hoping to get some more crafty projects finished up soon.

I hope you had a great weekend.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Heart Pocket

Hi friends!  So one of the challenges this month over on Cupcards to go is to create a project using paper doilies and stickles in a unique way.  So I created a cute heart pocket that is just perfect for filling with a sweet treat.  You could hang this on your sweeties door for a little surprise.
It is super quick and easy to make.  To make the paper doilies a little stronger I attached one of the doilies to a white sheet of cardstock.  Then attach both doilies together and stitch along the edge.  Be sure to stop before closing up your heart all the way.  Then punch one hole on each side of the (cardstock re-enforced) heart and attach your ribbon to create a hanger.
The stickles I added to the button embellishment.
I hope you have had fun stopping by each day to see a new project.  I do still have one more card to share.  That will be at a later date though.  I will have step by step instructions available so you can re-create the card yourself.

Be sure to stop by the cupcards to go blog for some amazing craft inspiration and the latest kit available.

Spread the LOVE

I am back with a few more cards I created with the amazing kit available this month over on the Cupcards to go blog.

This card was inspired by the sketch available this month over on Cupcards to go.
This ruffled ribbon was a great way to add a sweet touch to this card.  I also hand stitched a little along the edge.
All the little embellishments in this kit really made it easy to make a great card.
I embossed the card base of this card with the heart blocks embossing folder.
Bliss was stamped on the script patterned paper, then I added the stickles in pink (in the kit) on the clear overlay.

I can not tell you enough how beautiful this kit is!  It is FULL of product and the pre-cut cards are made of GORGEOUSLY thick cardstock!  Not that flimsy stuff you often encounter.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Valentines for your sweetie!

Hello friends, I am excited to finally be able to share the cards I have created recently for a great kit and blog site.  The blog is Cupcards to go, super cute right?!  I love the play on words.  The kit this month is full of sweet elements from Basic Grey's new line Kissing Booth.  I will be showing a few cards each day and a super cute way to use the heart doilies you can get right now.

I had a ton of fun working with this ruffly ribbon.

So far this card is one of my personal favorites.  I inked up the paper die cutout (spellbinders Fair Isle) with tea dye ditress ink and hollyhock ink (close to my heart).  I really like the effect.
The sentiment (bliss) and the butterfly both are Stampin Up.  LOVE!!

I really am honored anytime I have a chance to work with an amazing kit and design team.  Thank you Cassonda for inviting me to play along this month.  Stop by her amazing blog (Cupcards to go) to get this amazing kit and see lot's of inspiration for your next crafty project.

Check back with me tomorrow for some more cards!
