OUch!!

WOW!  I have a totally different topic to talk about tonight!  Exercise!!  Blah!  So I completely hate it right now!  But, I gotta do it.  I really need to lose some extra pounds and there really is no other way..err well, that I can afford...LOL!

So today I picked up a new dvd workout.  You may have heard of it... Jillian's 30 day shred?  So I thought surely it can't be that bad...could it?!  I unwrapped this jewel and popped into the dvd player.  Started up, this feels good....alright I can do this! YAY!  2 minutes later....AHHH...the burning, This is HARD!!  Oh my Gosh people...so NOW I totally know why people cry on the biggest looser while working out with her...she totally kicks your butt!  This video has 3 levels too...1 being the easiest.  1 is what I just did.....WOW!  I don't know if I have ever worked that hard in 20 minutes before!  I know some of you may think I am exagerating...I tell you I am NOT!

Aside from all the struggling while working out with this video...I gotta say, I am proud of myself for getting through it.  I am not sure how I am going to feel in the morning, but right now I feel exhausted but good.  I gotta tell ya...I have no desire to eat a THING either...no cookies, no candy...nothing, just want to hydrate!

I am going to do this everyday for the next 30 days and see what happens...It has to get easier right?!  Let's hope so.  Can't wait to see some results.

Alright, time to go crash on the couch for a little while and have some water.......

Blog Hop FUN!

Hello everyone!  Welcome to the first BLOG HOP for Christmas all year long with Magnolia!  This hop will happen every month on the 25th!  Be sure to hop with us on that day each month to see some awesome inspirations using Magnolia Stamps.

Alright on to the Inspiration....

I used this sweet Edwin stamp.  Colored in with Copics.  The papers are some more left over from My Minds Eye.  I am using up every last bit of that yummy paper! The buttons are from my stash and I added some Stickles to them for added frost effect.

Here is a close up of the colored image. I am happy with the results.  I just LOVE my Copics!!  What a great investment!

And finally the inside.  I used another scrap of the Designer paper.  Also added a cut piece that I chalked and then added Glimmer mist too. The shape die is from Spellbinders.  It is called Labels 2.  Wish I could get the glimmer to sparkle for you.  It really is pretty.

I hope you enjoyed my project.  Now hop on over to see what Kristie Meeker has in store for you. Also be sure to check out the Magnolia-licious store where you can find some Magnolia stamps at a great price!  They are already mounted and ready to go.  Love that!

Have a great day!!  JennK

Top 10!!

WOOHOO some more exciting news to share today!! I was chosen as a top 10 finalist in the Queen Kat Design Stamping contest!!! That means it is on to Phase 2 of my journey!!!

For Phase 2 the finalist are to create 1 hand stamped card and 1 altered project. Oh how fun!!

So here are my projects......

First an altered project. I created a journal.

Isn't she so pretty?! I just Love this image. I colored it in with my Copics. The papers are Prima. I created the journal using some chipboard out of a package of cardstock (love that). I even got to bind it with my new toy(bind it all)...YAY!!

This is a picture of the inside front cover. Just gotta love that sentiment. Again I used Prima paper. I sprayed it with some of the new Heidi Swapp exclusive Glimmer Mist in Viva Pink, YES...Love that!!

Let's move onto the inside back cover now. Again Prima papers that I sprayed with another Heidi Swapp exclusive Tattered Angels color Electric Blue! So pretty, then I layer on some more Viva Pink..YUM! For the word I used some cardstock stickers for a mask that I removed after spraying the glimmer mist. SO easy and such a dramatic result! Love that!!

And finally onto the back cover. Some more Prima paper that I left blank. Such sweet paper as is, love the words. This Journal is all about living your own Fairy Tale.

My next project is a card.

This is such a fun image!(Thanks Sarah) Love this Partying Mama! I used some Basic Grey Wisteria papers on this card and some fibers from my stash. Her purple shoes have a little glimmer to them that didn't show up (bummer).

There ya have it my entries to the contest. Hope everyone enjoys them and maybe even gets a little inspiration too.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my Baby Boy Jacob! He is 10 years old today! I just cannot believe that it has already been 10 years since the day we met. WOW! Time sure is flying and I can't stop that from happening. Some days I wish I could. No matter what though you will always be my first born, my baby!

What a bummer the kids had to go back to school today, so Bug(aka Jacob) will be there most of his day today. We will be celebrating with some chocolate cupcakes when he gets home though.

Love you Bug!

Some more Cards...

I finished a few more cards today! YAY!! I used some new stamps that I am lovin'!!

The first card is in preparation for Valentines day! You never can be too early for LOVE right?! It was inspired by a sketch over on the Smeared and Smudges group. There is a yummy prize and you have all month to create! Come over and check it out. Cards not your thing? They have a scrapbook sketch for ya as well!!

This yummy stamp set is from Artful Inkables. It is called Steampunk Sarah and I Love it! It is so much fun to play with. I colored her with Copics and used some more Nikki Sivils U R my Favorite papers. I just can't get enough!

My next card I used a digital stamp by Michelle Perkett. I just LOVE her images as well! So awesome!

I colored this image in with Copics also. But for the background I chalked it with a few colors. I really like the ethereal effect it gave the image. The soft colors are exactly how I wanted to her be. So soft and fairy like. The sentiment is from the set above by Artful Inkables. The patterned paper is K&Co.

Already the last card I have for today is another digital stamp. This time the image is a Wild Flower kid. She is so sweet! Her name is Violet and she was just released as a digital stamp.
Again I used Copics to color my image. (are you seeing a pattern here?) *giggles* And some more of the Nikki Sivils papers. YUMMO!

In other news I have a little secret to tell. I am so excited to share it, but I can't just yet. I hope in the next few days to share the exciting news.
Until next time keep craftin'!

Crafting fool!!

I am on a roll lately!! Lovin' 2010 so far!! My MOJO is in full swing! YES!! I love it! Don't you just love when you have so many great things rolling around in your head you can't get them out fast enough? That is how I am feelin right now. I am swimming in ideas. I am not complaining thats for sure...HEHEEE!! Cause when the Mojo runs dry it can be painful.

Alright now for the show of stuff I have been creatin'..

First off there are 2 sketches this week on The Pink Elephant. WAAHOO!! Well, I used both. I also used some more Nikki Sivils goodies.

Another card with the same Yummy papers from Nikki Sivils, but didn't follow a sketch for this one. I did however use my paper cup cozy from Starbucks. I just couldn't throw it out. I knew I would find another use for it and looky here, I think it is just perfect. I added a little Stickles and a few buttons to finish it off.

Now onto a layout I created too. I just love these pictures of my wee babe crafting with me. You can't start them out too young I say. He was having so much fun crimping paper that I just kept giving him more and more scraps to play with. He just Loved it! So did I.
I used some scraps of Scenic Route I had left for the layout. I also used my nesties and some letters from Making Memories.

Hope you enjoyed a little bit of my MOJO.

Hugs, JennK
