I recently came across this picture of my son.  It was one day he was goofing around with one of my headbands...and of course I had to snap a picture of his cute little face.  I tell ya...It is days like this one that reminds me how Thankful I am for the joy my family brings me everyday.

I created this layout with some Sassafras Lass that I had left over from a few other projects I have done.  It is such a Fun line to work with.

Here you can see a close-up of the little embellishments.

That's all I have for today.  Be sure to HUG your family today and get ready because Tomorrow is DEC1st!!

Thanks for stopping by, I love to hear from you.  JennK

Today I want to share a project I have been working on using the Yummy Creative Inspirations paints!  I was inspired by this weeks Inspiration challenge of spreading your wings.  Well, I absolutly ADORE butterflies and so this is the first thing that jumped into my head.  I also have been working on a Dec. Daily...So I incorporated the 2 together.  Who says butterflies can't be part of Christmas??

First a Close up...

I used the paint and squish technique.  The What and Wha??  You say...  Let me explain.

First I cut out my butterfly.  Next I picked out the embossing folder and paint color I wanted to use.
Next I painted the paint onto my embossing folder.  Put a lot and you get a more of the paper covered.  A little less and less paper gets covered.  You get the idea..
Lastly place your paper into the folder and emboss...
This is a picture of the paper in the folder still.
Here you can see when I pulled the butterfly out...OHHH How lovely!
So super easy and quick to achieve.  You could add more than one color too if you like.  Just be sure to wash your embossing folder and paint brush out immediately when done....otherwise you may not get all the paint off.

The paint that I used is Winter Frost..So fitting right?  Yeah!  I thought so too.

Here you can see the butterfly on the project.....Don't these paints SHINE??!!

And now the complete Cover of my album for the Dec. daily.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Have fun crafting!

A little Amy Brown

Hello...Are you all ready for your big Turkey Feast??  I know I mostly look forward to the Pumkin pie!!  YUM!  Until then I thought I would share a new Amy Brown stamp coming to the Queen Kat design store.  This beauty is called Waiting for Mischief.

Isn't she lovely??  I colored her up with Copic markers.  Cut her out and placed her onto a die cut background of Basic Grey paper (new Curio).  The die is by Spellbinders, it is the Fair Isle pendant set.

Here is a close up of this pretty fairy.
She will be available in the Queen Kat store starting in Dec.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a Scrappy happy day!

Happy Monday!!

Hello, I hope you enjoyed your weekend.  We have all been getting over some sort of cold/flu bug.  This time around momma started it, then little 1 and on to little 2...luckily daddy is the last man standing who has not gotten sick.  Not sure how he managed but I am sure Thankful! He has been a real life saver while momma bear was sick. Thanks Honey!!

Anyway, I want to share a project today...Remember when I gave you a little sneak peek of a gift I was working on?  Well, I finally have some full pictures to share.  YAY!!

I have been working on this card box and I have to say I am very pleased by the finished product...What do you think??
This is the top of the box. I used the new Curio line by Basic Grey and some Prima flowers. I am loving the Curio collection..seriously it really is beautiful!
Here you can see the sides a bit....
And inside the box lid.  I created a pocket to hold a book of stamps.

And the cards??  Here we go.....

I used the Curio collection on all of the cards.  The monogram letters were printed from my computer.  I used a download I purchased from Taylored Expressions.  There are 2 cards for each designs so 8 total cards in the box complete with envelopes to match.

So what do you think??  I am now onto another card box...these really are a lot of fun.  How about a sneak of the next set I am creating??
Can't wait to share this set once I complete them....

Thanks for stopping by today.  Happy Craftin'!!  JennK

Playing with a Sketch

Hello!!  I am so happy I got a chance to play with the sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You.  It has been quite a while since I have had a chance to play along with these ladies.  Of course the inspiration on the blog is wonderful.  Here is my take on the sketch...
I had fun playing with some papers from Nikki Sivilis.  A stamps set from Taylored expressions (Whimsical wishes) and a new stamp from Whimsey Stamps (Ticket sentiments). I am still lovin' pink and green together so why not for Christmas?!!  I am so glad I had that awesome pick polka dot ribbon...I think it just finishes this card perfectly.
A little closer view of the tree.  I gotta tell ya.  I stamped and embossed this little tree about 4 times.  The first few times the tree was stamped with white ink and embossed with sparkle powder.  But the tree did not show up the way I wanted.  So I went on to stamp this little tree with green ink....and then embossed with a few different powders.  I finally settled on this one.  It is very sparkley and it seemed to help the design of this stamp pop.
And now onto the inside...nothing too exciting here, but I still wanted to show that it is finished inside as well.  *grins*

Thanks so much for stopping by my little crafty place.  Have a wonderful weekend!
