Be Inspired #46

It is time once again for the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog Wednesday Inspiration! We are on #46 and this week we were sponsored by COSMO CRICKET!! WooHoo!! I am so excited! I absolutely love their papers and embellishments!

The theme this Wednesday is back to school. We created projects for teachers and students.

I decided to create a notepad to jot down quick messages and a collection of general cards for the teacher to write notes to parents or whomever they want. The set has 6 cards and envelopes in it.

Here is the set I created with the cards in the plastic card holder and the notepad. Below you can see the 6 individual cards that are included. These were so quick and fun to create using the Earth Love papers and embellishments. Of course Cosmo Cricket makes it easy...when they make such CUTE stuff!! Add in the Cuttlebug and WOW!! I for one am in Crafting heaven!

I hope you enjoyed my project and can come on over to the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog to take a peek at the rest of the design team creations. I am sure they will all be amazing!!

Also starting on Sept. 1st we will be celebrating out 1 YEAR anniversary over on the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog!! Make sure you don't miss out on all the fabulous prizes, inspirations and eye candy!!

Have a great day! Jenn K

Drive-in Bust!

Boy oh Boy today was a full day. The boys started the day with a little fishing...while I worked out and cleaned carpets. Then we all ate some lunch and headed over to a little carnival put on by the local baptist church. The boys had a blast in the jump around and Nick and I enjoyed TOO much cotton candy..LOL!!

Then we were off to dinner and the drive-in movie.....or so we thought. Dinner went great Zak even took a power nap right before. Then we were off to the movies. We arrive at the drive-in, eyes wide with excitement. Look how big that screen is mom! We get up to the ticket window to make our screen selection and BAM!! It happens.." So sorry but we are unable to open tonight, There has been a main water break and we cannot operate till it is fixed." "So sorry"

What??? So in all the years how often has this happened?? Bummer! So we left disappointed. Maybe we will try again another weekend before they close for the season. I cannot remember the last drive-in I was at but, I definitely think if you have one you should take the kids to experience it. So another time...Hopefully in the very near future we will enjoy this fading fav. past time.

In other news..I finished my Wenesday Inspiration project for the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog today. I got to play with some of the Yummy Cosmo Cricket! I just LOVE, Love, Love that paper manufactorer!! be sure to come back for my post on Wednesday for my reveal.

Till next time, have fun crafting! Jenn K

Cuttlebug Be Inspired # 45

Hello and welcome to another Fabo Inspiration Wednesday! This week we created Shaped cards/projects. Our wonderful Sponsor is Paper popsicles. They have such fun shaped cards.

I chose to create this sweet little baby girls dress. I thought it would be perfect to congratulate the birth of a new little baby girl into the world.

I cut the shape of the card out using the template I received from Paper Popsicles. I then cut some pink vellum out and embossed it with the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder (love this). I applies the vellum to the card and added some ribbon to the center. A few paper flowers at the hem and rick rac trim on the sleeves. The pearls at the neckline finish this card off.

The inside I used some coordinations cardstock in pink that I embossed with the bloom dots embossing folder. I lightly sanded the wmbossed area and stamped my sentiment in green ink.

All finished. Now come on over to the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog to see all the rest of the creations by the talented design team. Join in the fun with us and show us your shaped card too!

Thanks for stopping by today, Have a great day!, Jenn K

First Day

Wow what a way to start the school year! This morning just in time to get the kids off to school it started pouring down rain! Ha! You gotta love the timing of these storms...

So we wound up drenched while taking our little preschooler in to his class for the first day. Our oldest started school last Thursday and it was a beautiful day....go figure.

Big brother is all ready to go for his first day. This year is going to be great!

My little man is growing up too fast....Can't believe he is going to school now.

Well, seems they have to grow up as much as you may not want them to. They will alway's be my little boys though..no matter how big they think they are. LOL!!

Have a great day!

Don't forget to stop by on Wednesday for the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog Inspiration.

CUTTLEBUG Be Inspired # 44

Hello and welcome to another Inspiring Wednesday!! This week we had some amazing Sakura Pens to play with. WOW they are fantastic. I love the souffle and glaze pens. They write so smooth and the colors really pop!! We also got some fun Sticklers to use. These are really neat. When you peel them up and place them on your surface of choice, it gives you a great little outline you can then color in. Very cool!!

So this week The challenge is to create a scene...and the sponsor? Sakura!!

Here is my card I created for the challenge.

I created a window card. I used the SCOR-IT to create the lines on the top of the card and the HERRINGBONE cuttlebug embossing folder on the bottom of the card. The butterfly and flip flops are STICKLERS. I colored the butterfly in with the sakura souffle pens.

The scene on the inside I created with a stampin-up stamp I colored in using my copics. The flowers I applied flower soft to. Behind the stamped image I embossed using the Divine swirls embossing folder. The patterned paper is by K&Co.

Be sure to head on over to the CUTTLEBUG CHALLENGE BLOG. There will be tons more inspiration there and a place to submit your own creation for a chance to win your own Sakura products!!

Thanks for stopping by today! HUGS, Jenn K

Be Inspired!

Hello all!! I am here to share my card I created for the Cuttlebug Challenge blog.

This week we used some digital images sent to us by Maggie our wonderful blog owner!! She is so talented and sweet!!

I used the new stars embossing folder and some of the delish coordinations paper. This paper is so great to use with the embossing folders!! I love that you can sand it lightly to reveal a different color core...beautiful!!

I also used the score it to fold my card. This creates the perfect score for your cards, just like the pro card companies use!! So cool!

Don't forget to stop by the Cuttlebug Challenge blog to see the rest of the design teams projects. Also try one of our challenges, have some fun and win something great!

See ya there!! Jenn K

I am here...

So I feel like I have been neglecting my blog. I am not sure where the time is going lately but I do know that those facebook games are down right addicting..LOL!! This weekend my little sis came for a short visit. We went to eat and to see the Ugly Truth. Too funny! It was so predictable but still really cute. Definitely a good one to see with your sis too!

Sunday I went with the boys fishing. My little 3 year old caught a fish that a snake was trying out for breakfast...wow!! I wish I was quick enough to snap a picture....I was so amazed. Never had I seen that before!! By the time I ran over to snap a picture the snake decided to let go of the fish. Darn, don't know if that will happen again anytime soon.

I have been working out on my treadmill now for a month and I have to say it is great! I never thought I would look forward to exercise but, I feel great afterwards. I feel like I have gained much more stamina and strength in the past month. I am really going to focus on my food intake now too. See if I can start to slim down.

Let's see what else have I been doing lately.......well I have been created some scrapbook layouts..I am almost completely caught up in our family album!! I am happy about that. I have also been working on some projects for a guest designer position over on the Crop addict site. That will be featured in Sept. I also have been trying to use up some of the papers and supplies I have collected over the years to make room for all the new things coming out now that CHA is over.

Well, I had better get going...I will be back soon to share some pages I have finished lately and on Wednesday to share the Be Inspired project for the Cuttlebug Challenge blog. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great crafty day!! Jenn K
