Wild Wednesday

So I was up trying to get my blog post all ready for today when my computer decided to stop working for me.  UH! Electronics!  They sure can be a nuisance!  So here I am trying to get this post done on my husbands laptop.  It is harder than I would think when I don't have any of my software loaded to this computer or any of my bookmarks..files etc.  Wow it makes me think what I take for granted everyday.  When I expect my computer to work for me.  Sooo I don't have a picture of my latest project for ya just yet.  Today a new challenge begins at The Wild Flower Patch.  This week we created projects with a glass effect.  I created a stained glass effect that I hope to share with you soon.  In the meantime be sure to check out all the dt projects on The Wild Flower Patch blog.  I hope to be back really soon with my project.

In other news, I am having a recent card featured over on the Nikki Sivilis blog today!!  WOOHOO!  It just happens to be of a Wildflower Patch kid too!  Go check it out..I am excited and honored to be featured today.

Alright I am off to go try and tackle the computer mess.  Hope to be back up and running soon.

***UPDATE***

YAY!  I finally got my card all loaded up...sheesh.  So here it is. Hope you like it.

Wanna see how I did it?
Remember back in the day in art class when you probably took tissue paper and created a sort of collage of paper and it looked like stained glass?  Well, that is what I did to the pot of these flower.  Then I added some glimmer mist and crystal laquer over the top to created a glass effect...
Here are the steps.
Okay so I started piecing some tissue paper over top of the pot part of this digital stamp.
After all the tissue paper was glued down I spayed it with some glimmer mist.  Let that dry then covered this area with the crystal laquer.
Here it is all finished and looking like a glass bowl.  The flowers I colored with Prismacolor pencils and cut out.  Then I glued them over the top added a few pearls and inked the edges. I don't feel like the pictures really do a good job of showing the full effect. Wish I could have captured it better for you to see. I want to do it on a larger scale next time.
Well, there you have it.  My glass effects card for the Wild Flower Patch challenge.  It is a little late...but up at last.  :-)
Happy crafting!  JennK
