Lollies for everyone!

I am BACK!!  Finally, after the worse flu/cold sickies EVA!  I am so happy to say I am on the road to recovery and hopefully after the lysol bombs and mass cleaning it is gone and out of our house.

Since I was feeling pretty good last night I decided to start on some covers for a few lollies for a few preschoolers.  Valentine's is just around the corner ya know?!!  SHEESH!  Time, will it ever slow down a bit?!

Anyway...after a few trial and errors...here is what I came up with....

Cute and simple right?  Since I am making about 15 of these, I didn't want anything too detailed.  Also have to figure the recipients will be more interested in the yummy heart shaped lolly inside.

Wanna make one or a few?  Here's how I did it....

Cut a piece of Cardstock to 3" X 7"
Score at 1/2", 3 1/2" and 6 1/2"
Next I embossed the cardstock with the dots embossing folder.

Hole here
Fold on the score lines.  Cut some patterned paper to 2 3/4" square
I stamped my sentiment onto some coordinated paper and cut it out. Added some ribbon and punched holes through the bottom part of the lolly cover as you see pictured here.  Fold and glue the two1/2" sections together. then slide you lolly into the sleeve.

Alright...so I made another, one not so simple...but I just had to use this sweet little Love Birds stamp set from We R Memory Keepers.  It came in my Noel Mignon Kit!
Aren't these little birdies sweet?!  I had to emboss them with some shimmery powder.

Easy peasy right??  Hope my instructions made sense...feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks for stopping by!  And if ya make some of these will ya share them with me?
I would love to see what you create.
Happy Craftin'!

Tuesday Sickies!!

Uh..Well, it is official!  Littlest boy has taken down the house with what might be the nasty flu bug!  I really don't like the sickies...especially when the biggest kid of the house (aka Hubby) gets down with something.  I don't feel great either, but momma HAS to keep going!  After-all, how would we eat, have clean clothes or exist if momma didn't make it happen, right?!!  LOL!  So for now, I foresee soup and blankets and lots of cough medicine in my future.  I still plan to craft in any moment I get....it may just take me a little longer to get things done...

I will leave you with a few pictures of  my day.

Sleepy boy...still recovering from the sickies....

When little sickie was feeling a little better....he became....ROBOT BOY!  LOL!

A lone card.  I had fun with these sweet owls from a Unity KOM.  Also used up some We R Memory Keepers stickers I have had FOREVER!  And a little pink paper heart from the bakery dept.

My happy boy right before bed....he looks like he is feeling much better.

Well, that is it for today...thanks so much for stopping by!

Monday, Monday...

Hiya!  How was your weekend?  My little one is still recovering from whatever bug got him down.  Sunday afternoon was full of football excitement.  And I got a little bit of crafting in there too.

I have been meaning to scrap these FUN pictures from the Christmas tree farm.  We had so much fun that day.....LOVE IT! Sorry for the picture quality here...not sure why the right side gets blurry...but the actual layout picture is not that way.  I am sure it has something to do with the crummy lighting.

Here you can see the hand stitching a little better. And the stamped snowflakes on the background.

An assortment of doo-dads.  I created the flower using the scallop Circle die (Spellbinders).  Layer them up and a little crinkling.  Added a button and some floss and...it was done.  So easy and quick to create.

Here you can see the before and after of the chipboard snowflake I used in the layout.  Lucky for me it was already white.  So I embossed it with the large dots folder by Sizzix.  Then I painted it with some Winter Frost paint form Creative Inspirations.  Love that paint!

And finally my sons snowman....it has seen better day...LOL!  Sadly today he is completely gone.....

Well, I am off now to get some chores Crafting done...and maybe a workout in there too.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hello Friday...Finally!

Gosh for it being a holiday week...I sure am glad it is Friday already.  My little one is sick and I am sure all you moms know how exhausting it is when your kids are not feeling well.

So today I have a card I created with some Creative Inspirations paints in Rose Quartz and Turquoise.

Look at this lovely cow shimmer!  It was so cute and funny.  When my son saw this card he said "that cow must make strawberry milk"  LOL!  Love it!

The stamp is from MFT.  I have had it a while and I still really Love it!

I hope you have enjoyed my card.  There is still time if you would like to participate in this weeks Inspired by challenge.  The theme is bling.  You can see all the details HERE.

Color inspiration...

Hello, I am excited to be able share a layout I recently completed using the color inspiration on the Noel Mignon blog.  I LOVE the colors...

Isn't it peaceful and SO inspiring?!

I am not sure how true I stayed to the color palette but this is the layout it inspired me to create.
I used an assortment of supplies for this layout.  The scallops at the top are actually some cupcake liners sprayed with some Electric Blue Glimmer Mist, then folded in half and placed behind the cardstock.

Here you can see the cupcake liners closer....

And the title detail.  The letter stickers are Basic Grey (I do know that)  LOL!!

Time for Chores!

I have been meaning to create a way to keep track of the kids chores better.  So I decided to create chore chart for them.  I used a modge podge of paper and embellishments for this project.  And a few Popsicle sticks too!
The base paper, turtle and letter stickers are Basic Grey.  I colored the Popsicle sticks with Copics in orange and spring green.  The butterfly paper cutout is spellbinders and the sticker butterfly is by K&Co.  The flowers are from a mixed stash...it's anybody's guess  LOL!!

I am hoping this will helps the boys keep track of their daily and weekly duties.  The idea is to place the corresponding chore stick in their pocket as the chore is completed.  At the end of each day we will then mark on the calendar whether or not all the chores were completed that day.  At the end of the week we will see where we are at for PAYDAY!!  Everybody's fav. day...heheheee.

That's all I have for today.  Thank so much for stopping by.  I LOVE to read your comments so talk to me :)
Happy Craftin',

Hello Again..

WOW!  I can't believe it is Friday and already we are almost half way through Jan.!  I have been working on some fun little Valentine treat boxes among other things lately.  I LOVE all the new papers I am seeing....

Today I want to share a treat box I created using some kraft cardstock and a tutorial over on SplitCoast Stampers.  If you want to make one you can get the tutorial HERE.

I used some new We R Memory Keepers "Be my Valentine" papers.  and a new digi stamp from Pink Cat Studio.  His name is Bronty Valentine...and I just LOVE him.  He so made me think of my boys, especially my 4 year old that is in pre-school.  I decided to color Bronty with Copic colors B00, B01 & B04.  The hearts are colored using RV02, RV14 & RV29.  Scissors are C7.  I didn't have any ribbon in the blue I wanted to use to match Bronty sooo what's a girl to do?  Well, I pulled out some Turquoise Creative Inspirations paint and painted some white ribbon to match.  LOVE IT!  It added some shimmer to the ribbon too.  How cool is that?!
Here's a little close up of my ribbon.....Hope you can see the shimmer too.

Well, while creating this...guess who decided to join in the fun?  Yep, my 4 year old who inspired Bronty.  He decided to create his own Bronty creation...so here it is.

He is so happy with his Bronty...he colored and cut him out all by himself!  Colors used...variety of Crayola markers. heheee

He even painted with Creative inspirations paint in Fairy Dust and embossed (with help...just a little) the heart on his card.
Love that he likes to craft with me.
Well, that's all we have for today....
Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have enjoyed our projects and maybe they even inspired you to create something today.
Happy Crafting!!

Lovin' in January!

Hello friends!  I am so glad to have you stop by today!  I know it's only January..but, I just can't wait for the Lovin' to begin!  So, I have a sweet love card to share with you that I painted with the Creative Inspirations paints.
The Creative Inspirations paints I used are Turquoise, Blush and Autumn Wheat.  I love how the shimmer adds to the fun lovin of this card!  I was also inspired by this weeks Inspired by Challenge.  There is still time to play!
Wanna little peek inside??
The papers I used are from Basic Grey.  I also have a few Dew drops and the ribbon is by American Crafts.  I added a little 3-D laquer to the window on the jukebox...to give it a "real" glass feel. Stamps are from Unity KOM March 2010.
I hope you have enjoyed the card I created today and maybe it will inspire a few projects for your sweetheart?
Hugs, JennK
